Ellie is a current high school senior. She has been accepted to the Peck School of the Arts at UW Milwaukee. She plans to major in Art Education at UWM and further pursue her artistic passions and share her love of art, teaching, and animals.
In middle school, Ellie knew she wanted to use her love of animals to help others so she decided to volunteer with Leader Dogs for the Blind raising and training two puppies in their first year before heading to formal training with Leader Dogs for the Blind. Then when she got to high school, she volunteered every weekend at the Wisconsin Humane Society as a dog walker.
While continuing to pursue her passion for animals Ellie works as a part-time dog swim coach and retail worker at The Feedbag Pet Supply, a local family-owned pet store. There, she creates bonds with many pets and their parents. This sparked the inspiration to start drawing her furry clients as subjects for her AP Drawing class portfolio. Once the word got out, people began commissioning Ellie to draw their pets, and EHD Artworks was born.
With a strong passion for drawing and a love for animals, Ellie came across her talent for drawing pet portraits. Her photorealistic and emotional creations have helped people remember their furry and feathered family members, whether they’ve crossed over the rainbow bridge or are currently begging in the kitchen.
